Annual Conference Starts Today

About 200 medical representatives are meeting starting today at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) in Tagaytay City for their annual conference to map out plans and approaches to inform the general public on the technologies available on generic medicines in the market.
The conferees will also assess the education and information thrusts of various companies under the umbrella of INNOGEN Pharma Group, Inc., in line with the theme: “Valuing Life Through Innovations.”
Delegates from InnoGen Pharma Group will discuss technologies of their medical products, such as, Pellet Technology, Taste Masking Technology, and sustained release SR starting today (February 8), up until Saturday (February 10, 2007). The second batch meets for the same purpose on February 15-17, 2007 in the same venue.
They will come up with unified campaign to make the consumers and the general public aware of the existence of generic medicines that are affordable and of high quality.
One of their innovative products is, Ambroxol Hydrochoride or Ambroday. This is use for the treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract associated with abnormal bronchial secretion, particularly in exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis, and bronchial asthma.
Ambroday can be administered with other drugs, particularly the standard medication for bronchitis syndrome such as corticosteroids, bronchospasmolytics, and antibiotics. Ambroxol Hydrochloride is usually administered 2 to 3 times a day, but with the use of pellet technology by InnoGen it can now be taken once a day, improving patients’ compliance, provides higher safety profile and more cost-effective .
